UPDATE:
In case you missed it, this event will be repeated:

MISSION BAY PARKS WORKSHOP 1b
Wednesday, July 17, 2024
5:30-8 pm (arrive ~5:15 to allow time for check-in) registration link

Workshop #1b is an interactive site walk from Mission Bay Commons through the Parklab sites.

We’ll walk along the first leafy lawns of the Commons, to the more recent interim uses and case-studies such as Parklab Gardens and Stagecoach Greens, Spark Social and Urban Sprouts, all the way to the soccer fields and fitness courts on the western end of the Commons.

Along the way, we’ll have a chance to talk, observe, and brainstorm some new ideas for the future open spaces.

We’ll also be dicussing — but not touring — the two westernmost future park parcels, near the traffic circle and I-280 flyover. (Those two future park parcels are currently fenced construction staging yards, with no public access).

This in-person event is a great opportunity to meet fellow urban open space enthusiasts, and contribute your thoughts. We hope you can join us!

Regsitration is free, but space is limited. Please RSVP/register in advance so we can plan for attendance.

We recommend arriving at the meeting point around 5:15p, to allow time to check in.

You may recall that we just held the first workshop (#1a) back in June, and it sold out!

Due to popular demand, this is the repeat of that first workshop. So if you’d hoped to make the June workshop, but either couldn’t make it or weren’t able to register, we hope you’ll join us this time!

This workshop (#1b) will cover the same ground as the first one.

There will be other workshops which will cover new ground, later in the year.

Registration is free, but space is limited. Register
