Caltrain Pass Forward FAQ

How can I check the status of my Go Card? 7-10 days after receiving your new Go Pass card you can tap on at a Caltrain Station platform, or email [email protected] to request status.

How can I check the status of my Clipper Card? If your Go Pass was loaded onto your existing Clipper Card please note:

• If you view the Clipper account it may not show the GoPass.
• If you load your Clipper card onto a virtual wallet the GoPass will be displayed as an attachment on the card. (You will also be able to view your riding history through your virtual wallet.)

What can I do if my card isn’t working?

• Hold the card over the validator screen where the Clipper logo is for at least several seconds. (Not a quick tap. When tapping quickly, it will give an error message.)
• Be sure to use a validator located on the Caltrain platform. (Not VTA)
• Try another validator in case the one you originally tapped on wasn’t working.
• If you are still having issues, contact us at [email protected], and provide details about what happens when you tap your card including any message on the screen. Include your full name and card number.

Do I need a Clipper Card to apply? No. If you do not have a Clipper Card, you will receive a Go Pass card, good only for travel on Caltrain.

Can I use my existing Clipper Card to load my new Caltrain Go Pass? Yes, you can use your existing Adult Clipper Card. You cannot use a Senior Clipper Card.
