Staff shortages due to the Omicron Covid-19 variant surge is causing some delays.
According to MUNI: “Currently, we are missing up to 15% of scheduled Muni service, which means that riders may need to wait longer than usual for their bus or train. ”

The Bay Area Toll Authority has announced the following changes:
Bridge Tolls Increased $1.00 on these 7 Bay Area bridges: San Francisco-Oakland Bay, Antioch, Benicia-Martinez, Carquinez, Dumbarton, Richmond-San Rafael and San Mateo-Hayward
Toll violation penalties were reduced from $25 to $5 for the first violation and from $70 to $15 for subsequent violations. These reductions are retroactive to January 1, 2021 and also apply to the 7 bridges noted above.
The MTC has opened two newly constructed East Bay commuter parking lots:
Albany: 261-space lot adjacent to Interstate 80 at Buchanan Street in Albany;
Oakland: 89-space lot beneath I-880 at Fruitvale Avenue in Oakland (will expand to 221 spaces as demand grows).
Both lots are served by AC Transit Transbay express buses.
