Mission Bay residents and employees who ride Caltrain and earn less than $109,700K* can
Ride Caltrain for free in 2025!
HOW IT WORKS
- Unlimited travel 7 days a week in 2025!
- Travel anywhere along the peninsula from San Francisco to Gilroy.
- Caltrain connects to SamTrans, VTA, BART, San Francisco International Airport, San Jose Mineta International as well as the 28 cities and train stations (pass valid only on Caltrain.)
- Good for all types of trips: work, social, medical, recreational or other.
QUALIFICATIONS
- If you live or work in the Mission Bay 94158 zipcode:
-To have a pass added to an existing Adult Clipper card for faster processing you must supply your Clipper card number.
-If you don’t have an adult Clipper card, a new pass will be mailed to you.
- Between now and April 30th, if you live or work outside the 94158 zipcode, but in the County of San Francisco you can have the pass added to your existing adult Clipper card.
- You must have a total income of $109,700 or less. ($125,350/Household of 2; $141,000/Household size 3; $156,650/Household size 4 or more)
- You must be a Caltrain rider or plan to ride Caltrain once you receive your pass. (Pass good only on Caltrain.)
HOW IT WORKS
- IF YOU HAVE AN ADULT CLIPPER CARD:
We will add the Caltrain pass to your existing Clipper account. - IF YOU LIVE OR WORK IN THE 94518 ZIPCODE AND:
- YOU HAVE A YOUTH, DISABLED, SENIOR OR RTC CARD:
We will mail you a new Adult Clipper card with the GoPass loaded on it. - YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ADULT CLIPPER CARD:
A new Adult Clipper card with the GoPass loaded on it will be mailed to you.
- YOU HAVE A YOUTH, DISABLED, SENIOR OR RTC CARD:

WHEN COMPLETING THE SURVEY:
- You must complete both the Survey and the Application. Your name, email address (and Clipper card number if you have one) must match.
- If you do not have an ADULT CLIPPER CARD, do not enter a Clipper Card number.
WHEN WILL I RECIEVE MY PASS?
Your Clipper card with the GoPass preloaded on it will be mailed to you within 30 days, and will be ready to use as soon as you receive it. Activate your new pass at any Caltrain station within 180 days and you are ready to ride!
If you already have an Adult Clipper Card , please allow 7-14 business days for the pass to be added to your card. (If you load your Clipper card onto your virtual wallet, the GoPass will be displayed as an attachment on the card.)
