Good afternoon, Mission Bay Community:
In keeping with BART’s announcement on April 20th that masks are now voluntary, but strongly recommended on BART trains, we are also rescinding our mandatory masking policy on the Mission Bay Shuttle.
Today, the California Department of Health also terminated its statewide order for masking on public transit; the TSA terminated its mandate earlier in the week.
While these mandates are no longer in effect, there may be legislation reinstating masks on public transit in the near future. In the meantime, we strongly urge transit riders to continue to mask for their own, and the ongoing safety of others.
