Biking & Walking
You'll be amazed at how many places you can walk in a matter of minutes!
Mission Bay's flat terrain, scenic pedestrian sidewalks, pathways and bike paths invite you to explore. Check out the map below that shows approximate walking times from the heart of Mission Bay.

The Mission Bay Shuttles all have bike racks for easy transport of bicycles.
BIKE-SHARING COMING TO MISSION BAY IN 2012!
San Francisco will launch a bicycle sharing program throughout the City in spring/summer of 2012. The program calls for 50 stations to be located throughout the City; at least one of them will be in Mission Bay. Part of a regional pilot program, another 50 stations will be located along the Caltrain corridor in Redwood City, Palo Alto, Mountain View and San Jose.
Each station will hold several unisex bikes and the goal is to have stations located on streets, sidewalks and in plazas every 2-3 blocks between the waterfront, SOMA, the Mission and Mission Bay areas. Designed for running errands, the bike sharing program will be membership-based, with fees that encourage short trips: the first 30 minutes will likely be free; fees for 31-60 minutes in the $2 range and increasing after one hour. Users will be able to join directly from any bike station kiosk with a credit card.
The City is analyzing potential locations for stations over the next few months. Initial possibilities include the area adjacent to the Farmers Market at Gene Friend Way; Caltrain; 4th & Berry; 2nd and Townsend; and 7th and Townsend.
